Al-Burhan congratulates South Africa ‘s President on his re-election

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, on the occasion of his re-election for a second presidential term, wishing him success, and for relations between the two countries continued development and growth.

Al-Burhan said in his cable, “On behalf of the government and people of Sudan, I would like to extend to you my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your appointment as President of the Republic of South Africa in the 2024 elections, which were characterized by their peaceful nature, clearly demonstrated to the world the ability of South Africa to overcome its challenges and ensure a promising future for its people.”

Al-Burhan expressed his wishes to His Excellency the President of South Africa for success and prosperity in his second term as president, stressing that his wise leadership will contribute to achieving stability and security for South Africa.

Al-Burhan said, “We look forward to working with you and continuing to strengthen and enhance joint cooperation at all levels, and building on the historical relations between the two countries.”
