The Popular Resistence for Safe-Zones

Malik Agar the deputy of the Transitional Soveriegnity Council president in his address to the Sudanese nation suggested organizing the enlisted fighters of the general resistence lest the volunteers are exploited for achieving political gains. His comment reflects an anxiety amidst the supreme command of an anarchy subsequent to the evolution of the trend of resistence and a caution manifested in the limited distribution of guns which will lessen the hurden of collecting weapons campaign later and its development as another equal de fact authority..Inspite of the expressed reservation to the public response, the poppular resistence has become a fait accompli with the growing abuses of the Daglo Clan militia and thier transgression into plenty of territories spreading a wave of social intimidation and devastation of the whole country infrastructure.
The pppular resistence is a display of power of civilians who have been a prey for enemies.It sends a warning shot to the rapists and murderers that we can protect our preciious honour and repulse the swarms of African locusts swooping on our houses, streets and farms. The popular resistence is the last choice that reinstates the hope of winning for our wounded pride, dignity and defying those who have threatened to turn our country into cities of ghosts. The popular resistence is a show of solidarity with the Sudanese armed forces that repelled with a rare courage and an inflexible willl the virulent attacks on Sudanese community vital facilities, and its vigilance saved the state from serious plots that could have destroyed the country en mass in April alone . The popular resistence is a deterent to the culprits who walked throughout villages giving free rein to thier criminal whims and aggresive intentions..The popular resistence is a bitter pill to greedy politicians who want to rule the country by the victory of militia with the worst human rights records because the popular resistence emerges as a rival for them and a protective shield for women and children. . They fear that war will be comprehensive and ethnic but with thier complicity and indifference transferred the battles that was confned to Khartoum to other cities of Sudan where tribes and clans cannot accept being victims of war, stay with folded arms while seeing thier families evicted , killed and thier properties ruined. If the multi-national invading militia has granted its self the right of aggression , others are entitled to defend themselves to prevent chaos and stop the vandalism. One of the merits of popular is the unity of society to preserve thier land and avert the harm inflicted by the affiliates of the so-called Rapid Support who exceeded all the legal and moral bounds in thier behaviours towards the communities of Sudan.
“In a signficant humanitarian step, we, the compatriots of east Sudan announce an initiative of creating safe zones in east Sudan states. “An anonymous person wrote on facebook . ” He went on This expresses our good will for the cessation of war that we fear will be comprehensive.
This is one of fewest voices calling for establishing a buffer zone in easten Sudan while other many voices are pro-popular Resistence. The aim is providing safety to civilians and opening humanitrain corridors ” East sudan is the last peaceful haven for Sudanese natives. He concluded. ” The safe zone needs a party to iimplement an agreement of de-escalation . At the external level, there is no way to deploy UN or AU peace keeping forces due to the Sudanese sensitivity towards the foreign Intervention and an obvious recent example is the Sudanese government call for the withdrawal of the UN’s political mission at the end of November and its rejection for the proposal of IGAD for the involvement of African troops. At the domestic level, the Rapid Support Forces lost control over its elements who act according to thier whims without abiding by commanders instructions. .Some of tribal chiefs struck a deal with a number of Rapid Support officers anticipating the protection of thier villages from the aggresion, raping and looting, but what they dreaded had virtually happened with the incursion of the Rapid Support soldiers. The Rapid Support can’t be relied on in executing a safe zone in east Sudan unless there is a cease fire that will restore to it decipline and the prospect of an accountability to those individuals who break the rules of war. The army alone doesn’t ensure a safe zone as there should be a bilateral cooperation from the two parties of conflict or a third influential party to guarntee a committment on the two sides of hostilities and to deter the offenders .This is percieved as a meddling in internal affairs and a violation of national soverignity principle. So, popular resistence now is an option to which the members of society resoort to make thier respective zones safe.
The popular resistence is a means self defence and proves that our community isn”t an easy and juicy target for the conspirators against its safety, ethics, values and its territorial integrity…If you want peace,prepare for the war at lesst what is enough to protect your self.
