US Warns RSF

The US Administration expressed concern towards the circulated news about the RSF attacks on Medani jn Gezira State.
The US permanent representative in the UN Linda Thomas said that Wad Medani became a refuge of thousands of those who fled Khartoum war.
She urged the RSF to refrain from attacking the civilians, calling on all parties to protect the civilians.
Meanwhile, US Congress expressed worry from the RSF attack on Gezira State, calling on the two parties to commit to their pledges during IGAD’s recent summit in Djibouti.
The RSF are continuing mobilizing their troops to attack several areas in Gezira State which started on 14 December 2023 a matter that resulted to the suspension of humanitarian operations.
