River Nile State Environment Protection Council on the Lead

The Secretary General of River Nile Environment Protection Council, Hassan Mohammad El-Sayed Abdul Rahman told thr Citizen newspaper that the Governor and the Finance Minister of the state expressed their full support to the ongoing efforts of the Environment Protection Council.
The Council submitted an ambitious plan for the year 2024 to be endorsed by the government.
The Governor and the Minister affirmed their support, considering that the environment protection is one of the top priorities of River Nile government.
According to the Secretary General of Environment Protection Council, there is coordination between them and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company in dealing with conventional gold mining problems in Berber area, adding that a comprehensive plan was set to raise environmental awareness amid the citizens.
