Sudan is a great country, and Sudanese are one of the most favorite people in the world. We are smart, focused, and determined population.

The current war has unshield even more great characteristics of the Sudanese population; generosity, group work, hospitality, and more kind acts that we see on a daily basis, specifically since the start of Khartoum war.

The current situation of Khartoum as a Capital to Sudan is something to think about deeply and seriously, but the transferral of the administrative Capital to PortSudan was a good decision, and here are 4 reasons why portsudan could be the next Capital of Sudan:

1. The Port and its location: PortSudan is located on the Red Sea in the Eastern of Sudan. It’s Port has been a center for commercial activities particularly in the shipping industry since ancient times, which if used wisely and massively could definitely nourish great part of the country’s economy. It also allows international exchange of both human and developmental resources.

2. The Weather: Although Summer temperatures are high and relative humidity is high, but PortSudan has one of the great weathers in winter and fall, which makes this territory a destination to all around the world tourists. In one of my visits to this land, I met with some Italians who came specially to enjoy the new year’s of 2020 in PortSudan.

3. Tourism: PortSudan is one of the magnificent places in Sudan. Again I recommend to focus on Tourism as one of the main sources of international currency income to the entire country. Combined with other tourism places like: Jabal Marra, The Dindir National Park, Al-Genena, and the other natural places, Sudan’s economy can definitely rise again.

4. The culture and originality of the inhabitants: people and mainly the original inhabitants of PortSudan are very open people to new cultures and visitors, as they are used to new comers every now and then, for trade, travel and tourism. And during this difficult time, the great people of PortSudan have been very welcoming to receive the families of their own and othe families coming from Khartoum.
