VP of the TSC : We fully support the framework agreement, and will never betray our covenants with the armed forces

Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has announced his sincere desire to leave the political power and hand it over to a transitional civil authority, indicating that it is something he agreed upon with the TSC 1st Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces, and that he will never back dowm from it.
Daglo also reaffirmed that the framework agreement is our country’s way out of the current crisis, and it is the only basis for a fair and just political solution, saying that he, along with the rest of the signatories, contributed to pushing it forward.
He expressed his belief that the political process is taking a long time, and that the time has come to end it and reach a final political solution.
Daglo explained that the fighting trenches brought them together with the armed forces to protect the homeland and its security, and he added: We have covenats with it that we will never betray.
We are in the Rapid Support Forces and affirm their commitment to what was stated in the framework agreement regarding the principle of one army according to agreed timetables.
He described the Sudanese Armed Forces as an institution with a long history, and that it will not be a vehicle for a party or agency, saying: “We are one of them, and we will spare no effort to defend it against anyone who abuses or belittles it.”
The Rapid Support Commander confirmed that they had signed the Juba Peace Agreement and renewed their determination that the final political agreement be an entry point to reviving the implementation of the agreement and the implementation of all its provisions.
He explained that the solution to the current economic crisis is linked to political stability and bringing in a civil government, appealing to the international and regional community to be ready to provide the necessary support for the next government.
