Al-Burhan affirms commitment to implementation of outcome of Juba’s workshop

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has affirmed commitment of the government to outcome of the workshop of evaluation of implementation of Juba Agreement for Peace in Sudan and the updated matrix for the agreement.

Al-Burhan, praised the role of the people, government and mediation committee of the Republic of South Sudan and President Salva Kiir Mayardit, in realizing peace in Sudan.

Al-Burhan was addressing the signing ceremony of the updated matrix between the Sudanese government and the peace parties at the Freedom Hall in Juba.

Al-Burhan stated that Sudan and South Sudan will enter into wider horizons by implementing the agreements between two countries and opening border crossings.

He added that Sudan aspires during its presidency of the IGAD organization to implement South Sudan peace agreement and its protocols, voicing thanks for the South Sudanese people and their leadership for their support to peace in Sudan as well as witnesses, guarantors and regional and international communities.
