Vice-President of Sovereignty Council returns home

The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo returned home today after official visit to Kenya.

He was received at Khartoum airport by the TSC Secretary-General, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali and the Undersecretary and alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, ambassador Dafa’alla Al-Haj Ali.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dafa’alla Al-Haj Ali underscored in a press statement at Khartoum airport today that the visit of the TSC Vice-President to Kenya came at official invitation from his Kenyan counterpart and last for two days..

He added that the TSC Vice-President held meetings with the Kenyan President, William Ruto and his deputy and discussed issues of common concern within framework of historic relations between the two countries in addition to issues of peace and security in the region within framework of Sudan’s chair of IGAD.

Ambassador Dafa’alla said that Daglo has congratulated the President of Kenya on winning the elections and discussed with him strengthening the political and economic relations and that agreement was reached on cooperation in field of the banking transfers .

He added that the TSC Vice-President met with the staff of Sudan embassy in Kenya and discussed with them the issues of the Sudanese school and community in Kenya, pointing out that the visit has achieved its objectives.
