Kenyan President welcomes the Framework Agreement

The Kenyan President, William Ruto, issued a statement yesterday on the Framework Agreement which was signed by the Sudanese parties recently. .
The statement, which was issued by the Kenyan President on his tweeter account yesterday following his meeting with the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen/ Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, noted to the ongoing consultations to form a civilian government , affirming his country support to every effort supporting stability in Sudan.
The statement said that Kenya fully supports the Political Framework Agreement signed on 5 December,2022 between the TSC and active political civilian bodies in Sudan, saying the agreement lays ground for a broad consultations between the signatories over important measures that guarantee successful transition and augur stability in Sudan.
The statement added that Kenya welcomes the ongoing broad consultations in Khartoum for exploring solutions to the outstanding matters .
It added that the Sudan which enjoys peace and security was a crucial matter for prosperity and stability of the Horn of Africa and the African continent in general, saying Kenya in its capacity as member of Inter- Governmental Authority on Development ( IGAD) would seize every possible opportunity to support our brothers in Sudan.
