Summit between Al-Burhan, Deby

The President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, and the President of the Transitional Period in the Republic of Chad, Lt. Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby, held today in N’Djamena a summit meeting that touched on the course of the deep-rooted and historical relations that bind the two brotherly peoples.

The summit dealt with prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop it, in a way that serves the interests of the Sudanese and Chadian peoples, as well as issues of the common borders between the two countries and regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The president of the transitional period in the Republic of Chad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Sovereign Council for the visit, referring to the close relations linking N’Djamena and Khartoum.
