On the Occasion of the 67th Independence Day, activities of the Sudanese National Heritage Festival Launched

The Department of Museums, Exhibitions and Military History hosted the activities of the “Sudanese National Heritage Festival” from December 30 to January 7 ,under the slogan “Our originality in our heritage”

The festival is organized by “Al-Tuhfa”, a house for Sudanese heritage at the headquarters of the Military Museum as part of Sudan’s celebrations of the sixty-seventh anniversary of independence.

The Director of the Department of Museums, Exhibitions and Military History, Lieutenant General Dr. Omar Al-Nour Ahmed Al-Nour announced the launch of the activities of the Heritage Festival, stressing its importance to activate the heritage movement and link generations, in addition to that the festival reflects the heritage, legacy, cultural heritage and Sudanese folklore and shows depth and artistic dimension

Director General of Culture ,Investment and Information in Khartoum State , Awad Ahmadan said that
the festival reflects the Sudanese cultural heritage and folklore, yo highlight diversity and human heritage ، expressing the country’s identity

Ahmadan expressed his happiness with the festival and how it achieved its goals through artistic performances that embodied the diversity and cultural plurality of the Sudanese people, which represents a source of strength if it is well managed.

The festival participated by 13 out of 18 of the Sudanese states, the festival displays heritage products, foods, perfumes and clothes.

The festival includes lyrical and honorary paragraphs, in addition to cultural seminars, poetry and paragraphs on patriotic, enthusiastic and modern songs with the participation of the states
