Joint Force in Kassala Frees Hostages and Arrests Human Traffickers

A joint force formed by the commander of the (11th) Infantry Division, Major General Hassan Abu Zaid, recently succeeded in arresting persons accused of human trafficking and freeing (15) hostages.
The acting governor of Kassala, Adel Alloub, confirmed during his address to the joint force at the Kassala customs buildings that they are moving ahead with the joint force to resolve security breaches in the state and localities, and to impose the image of the state.
He said that the borders of Kassala are vast and open, which has caused the growth of the activity of criminals and unruly groups.

Alloub praised the efforts of the joint force from the army, the police, the Rapid Support Forces, and the intelligence service, which combed large areas in Kassala, including the Butana Plain, Atbara River, rural Kassala, and the neighborhoods of Kassala.
He said that the campaign resulted in the arrest of suspects, stolen vehicles, and the seizure of strategic goods and weapons. He announced the support of the force by an amount of two million pounds.
For his part, the commander of the 11th Infantry Division, Major General Hassan Abu Zaid Hassan Adam, confirmed that the campaigns will continue non-stop, and said that the force spent about (11) days roaming all over the state, starting from the Butana Plain, the locality of Atbara River and Khashm al-Qirba, and it struck human trafficking merchants’ dens. car thieves and commodity smugglers.
Abu Zeid praised the performance of the force in accomplishing the tasks and liberating more than (15) hostages from the grip of human traffickers and seizing a variety of weapons in addition to seizing drugs and arresting drug dealers and drug users, and heralded that Kassala would soon be declared drug-free.
