International Fair of Khartoum Kicks-off with the participation of 400 international Companies

The activities of the 40th session of the International Fair of Khartoum will be launched at the exhibition grounds in Burri, on Tuesday, with the participation of 400 companies, 12 countries and 16 states under the slogan “Khartoum without drugs”, and its activities will continue until January 31.
Umm Salama Mohamed Ahmed, Director General of Foreign Trade, representative of the Minister of Trade, confirmed that the session represents the largest economic, investment and commercial demonstration, in addition to being an opportunity to hold many forums with businessmen from different countries, announcing in this regard the visit of the Algerian Minister of Trade, and the preparation of a forum between Sudanese and Algerian businessmen.
For his part, Major General Al-Fatih Awad Abdullah, Director General of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Shops, stressed the pioneering role played by the company in supporting the national economy through the transfer of modern technologies to the industrial sector and the provision of logistical services to indigenize national industries, support exports and import substitution, in addition to establishing villages for exporters.
He highlighted the global food crisis and targeting Sudan to bridge the gap by attracting the largest number of agricultural and animal investments to exchange agricultural and animal technologies through networking businessmen at home and abroad, and creating jobs for young people by mobilizing the national economy and creating an investment opportunity
