Document of Cessation of Hostilities Between Dajo and Rizeigat Tribes Signed

Today, in the village of Amori in Bilil locality, South Darfur state, a document to stop hostilities was signed between the Dajo and Rizeigat tribes, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Council member Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, and representatives of the statutory and judicial agencies. Whereby signed on behalf of the Dajo tribe, was Sultan of the Dajo, Sultan Abdul Rahman Adam Abu. While signed on behalf of the Rizeigat tribe, was Prince Ali Hussein Dhay Al-Nour, head of the Rizeigat Emirate .
The two parties affirmed their commitment to implementing the provisions of the document, starting a new chapter of tolerance and amnesty, patching the social fabric, and restoring normal relations between the two tribes to their previous state.
For his part, the Sultan of the General House of Dajo, Sultan Abd al-Rahman Adam Abu, affirmed that the Dajo will not back down from this agreement, praising the great role of the Rapid Support Forces in confronting the attack on the people of the region, appealing to the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council to work on building what was destroyed by the war, and to provide services to those affected such as shelter , clothing and food, in addition to directing the presence of police and security check points to protect the local people at night. The Sultan demanded the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, for the need to absorb the youth of the tribe in rapid support so that they can be of help and support for their families, in addition to supporting the region with communications, water and health services.
For his part, the chief of the Rizeigat Emirate, Prince Ali Hussein Dhay Al-Nour, expressed his regret for what happened, asking Allah to have mercy on the souls of the martyrs, and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, stressing that the ties between them and their families from the Daju are eternal and historical, and that what happened is the work of Satan.
He called for a fair and transparent investigation to reveal those involved in the events and bring them to justice.
He pledged, on behalf of the Rizeigat tribe, to abide by the implementation of the provisions of this document, to consolidate the foundations of security and social peace, and to maintain a decent life with their Dajo people.
