The record for being the youngest Indian to travel across GCC countries on an Indian registered vehicle was set by Muhammed Hafiz (born on October 3, 2002) of Ernakulam, Kerala. He started his journey on Indian made and registered Mahindra Thar (KL17W2866) on November 27, 2021 .
The Citizen conducted a brief interview with Hafiz on his adventure.
Excerpts:
Q: You have said how many miles you travelled around the world, How many miles have you covered so far?
A: I embarked on a remarkable journey with my Indian-made” Mahindra Thar “and license plate. I’ve already ventured across 42,000 km over 11 countries and hope to complete his ambitious journey of visiting 75 countries to showcase the Indian-made product on the road.
Q: How many miles you covered in Sudan and what States you had visited so far?
A: Well, in Sudan I already covered 100, 000km so far, and I had visited various Sudanese towns from Sudanese Egyptian by Wadi Halfa, then I visited Dongla ( North State), Omdroman, periods ( Barjawia )area then Sudan Ethiopia border to Ethiopia.
Q: Would tell us more about your journey around the world, and How many countries you have been to it no?
A: My journey started from home town in Kerala, then to 11 countries in Asia and Africa including( Palestine, India, Israel, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Oman, Jordan and Sudan ).
Q: We know that such a project costs a lot, so who contributed and dispensers this program to you, Would you biref us?
A: I’m Electronics and from YouTube, Instagram and Facebook savings I financed my adventure, then their company called ” Qatar MBN ” funded me.
Q: You are about to leave Sudan, where will be your next destination?
A: It is true that the 28th I will leave Sudan to head to Ethiopia,Tanzania and the rest of the African Countries (South – West- East and North).
Q: You seem quite young and you have dedicated your life to Driving, besides academic studies How did you balance them, and brief us about your childhood time?
A: I grew up in the Northern Indian State of Kerala, and since an early age, he was interested in driving and adventure currently enrolled in school and is about to inter-university .
Q: We know that transforming cars or vehicles requires a procedure, how did you succeed in this, and did you take on by aeroplane or drive on road?
A: I went through many oppstical, passed through the roads, not aeroplane and transforming the vehicle is quite difficult. I acquired lines to cross all borders with Indian plate number
Q: When did you start your trip around the world, Is there anyone who accompanied you so far?
A: I started his journey in November 2021 with one of my friends, we crossed many countries together. Unfortunately now, I became alone to cross the 75 countries that had been planned.
Furthermore, I thank the Indian community and diaspora around the world for help and stands.
Q: What have the Indian Embassy in Sudan and Indian Diaspora did for you, did they award you?
A: Thanks to all Indians who are residents in Sudan beginning with his H.E Ambassador Mubarak and his Second Secretary Mr. Anil Kuamar for their support and they honouring me with a “plaque”.
Q: What’s your aspiration for Sudan and your message to the Sudanese people?
A:I’m so glad for the Sudanese openness and generosity, I hear that Sudanese people are not friendly, but when arrived the image was extremely different and I felt like at home “.
