SCEFA concludes the workshop for establishing the school theater in Blue Nile

The Sudanese Coalition for Education for All (SCEFA)concluded a workshop for establishing school theater in the Blue Nile region, in honor of the Minister of Education, Eshraqa Ahmed Khamis, and the Director General of the Waza Center for Cultural Production, Dr. Atta Shams El-Din

The Minister praised the efforts of the Sudanese Coalition for Education for All SCEFA in developing education in the region and improving its quality.

The dramas presented by the trainees discussed the most important social and educational problems, and they reflect the success of the workshop in achieving its objectives.

UNICEF and the Sudanese Coalition for Education for All appealed to generalize the experiment in all schools in the region to achieve justice in the quality of education and increase the absorption of students in schools and alternative education centers, affirming their support for the project as much as the Ministry’s capabilities.

Nagi Al-Shafe also pointed out the need to work with the Ministry of Education in the Blue Nile region to contribute to promot peaceful coexistence and mending the social fabric through educational institutions, stressing their support to the Ministry for the access of education to every child.

Atta Shams El-Din praised the trainees, students and teachers, and their commitment and high motivation to benefit from theater techniques in education and to express their opinions, problems and dreams.

He considered the production of six theatrical works written, acted and directed by students as the most important indicators of the success of the project.

The Director of Primary Education in Al-Damazin locality , Jalal Omar, confirmed their happiness with the project to establish a school theater in the region. It works to make the school environment attractive and contributes to preventing dropouts from education. He stressed his support for the project and his direct supervision at the governorate level so that every child can enjoy a good education.

Nadia Abuna, Director of School Activities, pointed to the necessity of continuing training in the school theater and disseminating the experience in the various locality of the region
