Khartoum to Open New Addiction Recovery Center as Social Recovery Efforts Expand

Khartoum State’s Acting Minister of Social Development, Sediq Hassan Farini, announced the imminent opening of the Hayat Center for Addiction Treatment and Psychological Recovery, aimed at providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for young people affected by drug addiction.

Speaking at the launch of national recovery and community resilience projects in Omdurman, Farini reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting civil society initiatives, promoting economic empowerment, and addressing the social consequences of the war.

He also stressed the need for stronger partnerships to protect youth, women, and vulnerable families while advancing community recovery across the state.
