UN Official Sparks Social Media Frenzy with Video from the Heart of Khartoum

The UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Denise Brown, participated in a remarkable social and cultural event, attending a traditional folk music performance (“Dalouka”) held in the public square of the historic Al-Diyoum neighborhood in the heart of Khartoum.

The event witnessed significant interaction from the UN official and her accompanying delegation with the folk songs and rhythms of the Sudanese Dalouka, which reflect the culture and history of the region.
