Farini: Youth Empowerment is Key to Social Recovery and Protecting Future Generations’ Dreams

The Acting Director General of the Ministry of Social Development in Khartoum State, Prof. Sadiq Hassan Farini, affirmed that youth engagement and determination are the foundation for building future leaders in Sudan through specialized training and capacity building.
He made the remarks during the launch of the “Ashah” Initiative for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Al-Shajara area, Khartoum locality, organized by the Sudanese Youth Union in cooperation with the Youth Entrepreneurship Platform.
Farini highlighted that the ongoing war has targeted Sudan’s social fabric, families, resources, and women’s security, stressing that community solidarity is a cornerstone for psychological and social recovery in Khartoum State.
He praised the resilience of Sudanese women and urged young people to develop their skills and hold on to their ambitions despite challenges.
Meanwhile, South Kordofan State Minister of Social Welfare Jawahir Ahmed Suleiman announced plans to transfer the initiative’s experience to her state, focusing on youth support, talent development, entrepreneurship programs, psychosocial support, and strengthening volunteer work.
