High-Level Sudanese Delegation Participates in UN Police Chiefs Summit

Police Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa, Minister of the Interior, and Police Chief Amir Abdel Moneim Fadl, Director General of the Sudanese Police Force, arrived in New York at heading the Sudanese delegation participating in the Fifth UN Police Chiefs Summit, hosted by the United Nations at its headquarters in New York from July 7-8, 2026.

This summit is a high-level international platform that brings together ministers of the interior, police chiefs, and senior security officials from around the world, along with leaders from the United Nations and regional and international organizations concerned with law enforcement, to discuss ways to enhance the role of policing in supporting international peace and security and addressing emerging security challenges.

The Sudanese delegation is scheduled to participate in the summit’s various sessions and events, and will present Sudan’s experience and vision regarding the development of international police cooperation, strengthening the capabilities of law enforcement agencies, and supporting the United Nations’ efforts to maintain international peace and security.

Sudan’s participation in this summit underscores its commitment to international cooperation in security and policing, and its keenness to exchange expertise and best practices with member states and international partners, contributing to enhanced security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
