Sudan Partakes in the German-Arab Business Forum in Berlin

A Sudanese delegation, headed by the Sudanese Ambassador to Germany, Ms. Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, and including representatives from the Sudanese Employers’ Federation, business leaders, and companies, participated in the 29th German-Arab Business Forum, held in Berlin from June 17 to 19.

The delegation also included the Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassador Idris Mohamed Ali, and a number of Sudanese businesspeople who participated in the forum’s sessions and economic meetings.

The participation aimed to strengthen economic relations with German and Arab partners and to highlight investment opportunities available in Sudan, particularly in the agriculture, energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors. The Sudanese Mission in Berlin, in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, also organized a roundtable discussion entitled “Sudan: Partnership for Recovery, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation,” during which representatives of the Sudanese private sector presented the country’s economic potential and available investment opportunities, attracting significant interest from German and Arab companies and economic institutions. This participation comes as part of the efforts of the Sudanese mission in Berlin to strengthen Sudan’s economic presence and expand cooperation and investment opportunities with international partners, in preparation for a planned visit by a delegation of German businesspeople and parliamentarians to Sudan during the second half of this year.
