Sudan Participates in Executive Bureau Meeting of the Arab Ministers of Justice Council in Cairo

His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Darf, and the accompanying delegation participated in the 76th session of the Executive Bureau Meeting of the Arab Ministers of Justice Council, held in Cairo, Egypt, as Sudan is one of the members of the Council’s Troika.
The high-level Sudanese delegation included Ambassador Abdelazim Mohamed Al-Sadiq Al-Karouri, Director of the Arab League Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Osman Mohamed Idris, Director of the Minister’s Office; and Basma Montasir Mohamed, representative of Sudan’s Permanent Delegation.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Darf held talks with his Saudi counterpart, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries and exploring prospects for cooperation in legal and judicial fields.
The bilateral discussions also addressed mechanisms for exchanging expertise, developing training and capacity-building programs, and enhancing coordination in combating organized crime in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
Sudan’s participation in this session reflects its commitment to advancing joint Arab action and strengthening the regional legal framework. It also serves as preparation for upcoming regional engagements, notably the Conference of States Parties to the Arab Convention Against Corruption, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, next September.
