Minister of Justice Praises the Effective Community Role of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf Ali, has commended the effective community role played by the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, highlighting its strong coordination with international organizations in supporting communities—especially under the challenging conditions of war.

He noted that the militia of Al-Dagalo has committed acts of terrorism, crimes against humanity, and war crimes against civilians, and emphasized the significant role the Red Crescent has played in supporting communities affected by the conflict.

During a meeting held this morning in his office with a delegation from the Steering Committee of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, headed by Abdulrahman Bilal, the committee’s chairman, the Minister pledged to provide full legal and technical support to enable the Society to carry out its duties effectively, in line with the fundamental principles governing the Red Crescent.

The delegation, in turn, briefed the Minister on the committee’s activities, noting that they have prepared a new draft law, which has been submitted to the Ministry of Justice for review.
