Security and Defense Council Holds its Periodic Meeting and Reviews the Security Situation

The Security and Defense Council held its periodic meeting today in Khartoum, chaired by Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, with all members in attendance.

Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabroun, stated in a press release that the Council commended the Armed Forces and their supporting forces on all fronts for the victories achieved during the past period.

He indicated that the meeting reviewed the security and military situation in the country and examined all preparations and equipment necessary to confront the rebels and mercenaries.

The Minister of Defense affirmed that all necessary measures have been taken to preserve the country’s sovereignty and the safety of its territory and citizens.
