Minister of Human Resources Discusses with the Minister of Religious Affairs the Role of Mosques in Combating Hate Speech

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Motasem Ahmed Saleh, discussed with the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Bashir Haroun Abdel Karim, the significant national role that the pulpits of mosques and Friday sermons, along with imams, preachers, and sheikhs, can play in consolidating the values of tolerance and social cohesion, as well as combating hate speech and racist strife, especially in light of the challenges that our country
is going through.

He also stressed the importance of supporting the Holy Quran as an authentic beacon of education, values, and the preservation of Sudanese identity, along with its historical role in promoting social stability and building awareness. Saleh added that such partnerships between religious and social state institutions represent a key pillar in promoting societal peace and supporting the national recovery project.
