RSF Militia Drones Kill Innocents in Chad

Field reports and multiple news outlets indicate that approximately 17 people were killed in an attack carried out by a strategic drone belonging to the Rapid Support Forces militia. The attack targeted a gathering of civilians during a Ramadan iftar (breaking of the fast) in the border region of Tina, Chad.
The incident sparked widespread condemnation, as it constituted a direct attack on civilians and families practicing their religious rites in a border area, further exacerbating the already tense security situation in the shared border region between Sudan and Chad.
Systematic Targeting and Border Violation
Sources clarified that the bombing was carried out using a sophisticated strategic drone, indicating the militia’s deliberate targeting of civilians even within neighboring territory, in flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
