Secretary-General of the TSC opens the annual International Summit on Corporate Social Responsibility

The Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Youssef, affirmed that the convening of the annual international summit for leading institutions in the field of corporate social responsibility is a source of optimism, noting that Sudan is continuing its path of recovery and reconstruction after the difficult circumstances it has endured.

In his opening address at the summit, held in Port Sudan yesterday, he emphasized that the world has witnessed the extent of the destruction left by terrorist militias in the country, explaining that Sudan appreciates hosting this session of the summit. He emphasized that the government’s plan focuses on allocating available resources to rehabilitate damaged facilities, calling on the international community to participate in reconstruction and development efforts.

The summit witnessed broad participation from official leaders and representatives of regional and international organizations, where ways to enhance corporate social responsibility in supporting community development were discussed. The summit, held under the theme “An Exceptional Summit for Reconstruction,” was sponsored by Nasr al-Din al-Hussein, Director General of Eriab Mining Company and International Ambassador for Corporate Social Responsibility.
