The Federal Minister of Health Visits the Headquarters of the National Medical Supplies Fund in Port Sudan

The Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, visited the headquarters of the National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) in Port Sudan, where he praised the efforts and steadfastness of the workers during the past period, stressing that the completion of the health system depends on the integration between the role of the National Medical Supplies Fund and the health insurance system.

The minister explained that the purpose of the visit was to thank the fund’s employees for their great efforts, as they were participants in the “Battle of Dignity” through their keenness to provide medicines and medical supplies despite the difficult conditions and challenges imposed by the war.

The fund’s employees confirmed their readiness to provide all the necessary medicines and medical supplies and distribute them to the states through various available means, pointing out that the minister’s support boosts their morale and confirms the importance of their role in serving the citizens. They also expressed their wishes for the victory of the armed forces and the restoration of cities to the bosom of the homeland so that the citizens can enjoy security, health, and safety.

The visit of the Minister of Health to the Fund’s headquarters in Port Sudan confirmed that medical supplies are the backbone of the health system in Sudan and that the continuation of the Fund’s work, despite the challenges, reflects its strategic role in achieving health security and ensuring that medicine reaches every citizen.
