Al- Affirms continuation of the Battle of dignity 

Head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, affirmed the continuation of what he described as the “Battle of Dignity” being waged by the army against rebel forces supported by mercenaries and weapons from external parties.

During his address to citizens in the Ed Babiker area east of Khartoum, Al-Burhan explained that the battle will not cease until the rebellion is completely eradicated, every inch of Sudanese land is cleansed of militias and mercenaries, and those supporting them are held accountable.

Al- Burhan called for the cohesion of Sudanese society and the solidarity of all its components, including Sufi orders, to stand united against what he described as a conspiracy targeting the country.

He affirmed his confidence in the awareness and unity of the Sudanese people and their rejection of any imposed solutions that do not meet their aspirations.

He pointed out that the Sudanese people are “of one stock” and will not accept humiliation or external dictates, stressing that any settlement that does not reflect the will of the citizens is doomed to failure.

Al-Burhan performed Friday prayers at the Ed Babiker Mosque, where he listened to citizens’ complaints regarding services, development, and security.

He directed the government, headed by Kamil Idris, to immediately review the demands of the area’s residents and work to address them.

The Ed Babiker area witnessed violent clashes during the Rapid Support Forces’ control of parts of the capital. Residents rejected the forces’ presence in the area, leading to armed clashes that resulted in a number of deaths, including children, amidst extremely complex security and humanitarian conditions.
