Energy Minister Discusses Investment Opportunities in the Petroleum Sector with an Omani Company

The Omani Gulf Energy Company announced its strong interest in investing in Sudan in the petroleum sector and related services, developing oil fields, increasing extraction and production rates, and manufacturing oil and gas equipment. This investment aims to support the national economy and enhance the efficiency of the petroleum sector.

This announcement came during a meeting held today (Thursday) at the Port Sudan office between the Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Engineer Al-Mutasim Ibrahim Ahmed, and Engineer Yasser Saeed Al-Barami, CEO of the Omani Gulf Energy Company. The meeting focused on strengthening investment partnerships and developing the petroleum sector in Sudan.

The Minister of Energy welcomed this investment interest, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to creating a suitable environment for attracting foreign investment and providing the necessary facilities for companies wishing to operate in Sudan. He also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in rebuilding and developing the energy sector’s infrastructure.

The minister explained that the next phase will witness a wide opening up to regional and international companies to invest in the oil and energy sectors, which will add value to the Sudanese economy and provide new job opportunities.
