Al-Burhan and Erdoğan Hold Joint Talks on Supporting and Strengthening Cooperation

President Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held joint talks today at the Presidential Palace concerning the promotion and development of bilateral relations and advancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The two presidents discussed regional and international issues, particularly the situations in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.

The talks also addressed the latest developments in Sudan and efforts to achieve peace.

Regional and international efforts to establish peace and stability in Sudan were also reviewed.

The talks reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan.

The discussions also addressed Turkey’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to the Sudanese people in addressing the current humanitarian crisis. This assistance will be delivered through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the field of humanitarian aid.

The talks further emphasized the necessity of halting the crimes committed against the Sudanese people and holding those responsible accountable.

Head of the Sovereign Council expressed his gratitude to Turkey for its supportive stances towards Sudan in regional and international forums, affirming the depth of Sudanese-Turkish relations.

He also thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his invitation to visit Türkiye, noting the enduring ties that bind the two nations.
