Minister of Cabinet Affairs Reviews SSMO Performance, Pledges Support

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Lamia Abdel Ghaffar, reviewed the performance of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) and pledged her support to enable it to fulfill its vital role.

Dr. Lamia Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, received a briefing on the performance of the SSMO during the war.

The Minister met today (Tuesday) in her office in Port Sudan with the Director General of the SSMO, Rahba Saeed, who presented a comprehensive overview of the organization’s performance and achievements during the past period. These achievements included technical work, recovering lost items, developing laboratories and facilities, construction and development, and maximizing exports, particularly in the gold sector.

Saeed also reviewed the SSMO’s efforts to ensure employee stability and serve the community through corporate social responsibility activities, as well as its ongoing efforts to raise awareness and promote a culture of standardization and metrology.

For her part, the Minister expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the SSMO and its importance in protecting consumers and the national economy. She pledged her support and to work to remove all obstacles hindering its work, emphasizing the vital role of the organization at all times, especially during this period in the country’s history.
