Governor of West Darfur: The Mass Response to the Popular Mobilization Confirms the Unity of the Sudanese Behind the Battle of Dignity

The governor of West Darfur state, General Bahreddine Adam Karama, stressed that the broad public response to the call of the National Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance represents clear evidence of the Sudanese people’s awareness and full rally around the legitimate government, as it fights its fateful battle against the insurgency and thwarts foreign plans targeting the Sudanese state.

The governor said that the departure of the Sudanese people of all categories and affiliations embodied solid national unity and a firm popular will to protect the state and restore its prestige, stressing that these people do not let down their homeland in times of hardship, but always prove that they are on time.

He pointed out that this broad mass movement has sent a decisive message to all those who seek to destabilize security or try to grant false legitimacy to the criminal militias that Sudan is steadily moving towards ending the rebellion and achieving a complete resolution without retreating.

He explained that the wide participation of youth and elders, men and women, reflects a categorical rejection of the militias’ crimes and their attempts to impose a demographic reality by force, and at the same time confirms the depth of societal cohesion and the high level of popular awareness of the reality of the ongoing battle.

The governor of West Darfur revealed that a solid plan has been developed, in line with the approach of the state government, and in full coordination with the civilian and military leaderships, aimed at liberating the state in the near future as a first step towards ridding West Darfur of the scourge of militias and building a secure and stable future.
