The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health discusses the health situation in the northern state

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker Sayed Ahmed, held a coordination meeting with the Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Northern State, Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, in the presence of a number of the Ministry’s leaders and a number of officials of the health sector in the state, including the Director of the Department of Therapeutic Medicine and the Director of Dongola Specialist Hospital.

Dr. Sati Hassan Sati reviewed the current health situation in the state, highlighting the challenges facing the health sector, especially in light of the increasing number of displaced people from North Darfur state, especially from the city of El Fasher, a large number of whom have settled in the northern state.

Sati pointed out that the meeting dealt in detail with the0 epidemiological situation in the state, and the difficulties facing the provision of health services, stressing that the Undersecretary of the Ministry expressed his full understanding of these challenges, and promised to work on overcoming obstacles and providing the necessary support in accordance with urgent priorities.

Sati also revealed that the Federal Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health is expected to visit the northern state in the coming period, where it is expected to witness the opening of a number of important health projects, including the emergency hospital in the Tadamon area, in addition to the organization of a large camp for prosthetic limbs, in addition to other health projects that will be launched soon in various localities of the state.
