Khartoum Health Discusses Guidelines for Preparing the Budget for the Fiscal Year 2026

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State held a meeting today on the guidelines for preparing the budget for the fiscal year 2026, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir, Director of the General Directorate of Therapeutic Medicine, with the participation of directors of the public, financial, and planning departments, as well as a number of concerned officials.
The meeting reviewed the main pillars on which the new year’s budget will be built, which include strengthening primary health services, reconstruction, supporting hospitals and specialized centers, strengthening epidemic control programs, in addition to developing human capacities and improving the work environment in health facilities in the municipalities.
The meeting also discussed the most prominent challenges facing the health sector at the current stage, stressing the importance of preparing a budget based on accurate data and clear operational plans that reflect the actual needs of the state.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir stressed the need to adhere to the technical directives and approved financial controls, and to expedite the submission of final proposals according to the specified timetable, in order to ensure that the budget comes out in a way that meets the aspirations of workers and contributes to improving the health services provided to citizens during the year 2026.
