Minnawi: The Road is Clear

Darfur Governor and supervisor of the joint force, Minni Arko Minnawi, stated that their forces achieved a major victory in Jebel Abu Sunun and other areas in North Kordofan.

In a statement on Tuesday, Minawi added, “The youth have blocked out the sun and are avenging what the militias did in El Fasher. The road is clear, God willing.”

Violent fighting continued for the second day on Tuesday between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Kordofan State, with the army launching airstrikes on RSF positions in several areas.

Participating in the fighting alongside the army are the Sudan Shield Forces, the joint force of armed struggle movements, the Al-Baraa bin Malik Brigades, and a number of supporting forces.
