Eye Health Department Celebrates World Sight Day

The Eye Health Department of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health celebrated World Sight Day under the slogan “Love Your Eyes,” in the presence of the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, the Minister of Health, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, the Director General of Curative Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir, the Director General of Al-Walidain Specialized Eye Hospital, Dr. Safwat Al-Badri Hamdan, and the Director of the Eye Health Department, Dr. Abeer Al-Sir Mohamed.

During the celebration, the Governor of Khartoum praised the efforts of the Ministry of Health and the health sector in reopening and operating Al-Walidain Specialized Hospital, affirming the state’s continued support until all health facilities are fully operational.

For his part, Dr. Safwat Al-Badri commended the role of the partners and the Ministry in the success of the hospital’s programs, emphasizing their commitment to continuing to work on improving eye care services in the state.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Rahman Mohammed Al-Amin affirmed the ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary resources to deliver outstanding medical services, expressing his appreciation for the Governor of Khartoum’s support in enabling the ministry to fulfill its role effectively. He also commended the staff at Al-Walidain Hospital for their efforts in serving patients.
