Karama: Security Council’s condemnation of the militia does not touch the depth of the tragedy

The Governor of West Darfur, General Bahr al-Din Adam Karama, condemned the Security Council’s statement regarding the Rapid Support Militia, stating that it does not address the depth of the tragedy and fails to reflect the magnitude of the humanitarian catastrophe that Sudan has been experiencing since this gang fired its shots at the homeland and its people.
In limited press statements on Friday, the governor stressed that the crimes of the Rapid Support Militia have exceeded any description or justification, as it is a militia born from the womb of chaos, fed on blood, and engaged in genocide, ethnic cleansing, rape, burning, and systematic looting. However, the Security Council is content with a faint statement that does not even amount to the Nakba that the world has witnessed in audio and video!
He denounced the dignity of the United Nations in the face of this organized evil, saying that this raises suspicion and major questions about international justice. How can the militia be condemned without being held accountable? How can crimes be documented without the conscience of the world being moved? The governor added that the Sudanese have provided the best forms of steadfastness in the face of the death machine, and they will not accept that their case becomes just a paragraph in an international report or a fat-free diplomatic statement. We affirm that justice is not achieved by statements but by actions, and that those who tolerate the murderers share their silence with the crime.
He called on the Security Council and the international community to issue firm resolutions, include the Rapid Support Forces in the lists of terrorist organizations, and prosecute their leaders as war criminals before the International Criminal Court. Whoever is not deterred by humanity,let the law deter him.
Whoever spills blood will not escape the reckoning no matter how long it takes.
If they killed civilians in cold blood, burned villages, raped women, displaced families, plundered the livelihood of the poor, and then came out talking about false promises and empty words that do nothing about the truth , thr Governor added .
