Orbits: On Teacher’s Day… A Tribute to the Messengers of Humanity

On October 5th of each year, the world stands in awe and respect for the greatest message carried by humankind after the prophets.

It is Teacher’s Day, a day of loyalty and gratitude, a day to acknowledge the gratitude of those who illuminated the darkness of ignorance with the light of knowledge, and planted the seeds of knowledge in minds and the values ​​of goodness and giving in hearts.

The teacher has never been a transmitter of information, but rather a creator of awareness, an engineer of minds, and a builder of generations. Through him, nations rise and civilizations flourish.

Without the teacher, the light fades and directions are lost.

How many scholars have innovated, how many leaders have acted justly, and how many reformers have changed the course of history—all of whom were once students who sat before a teacher who believed in their abilities and ignited within them the flame of dreams and the strength of determination.

Teacher’s Day is not a passing day in the annual calendar; rather, it is a moment of conscience for those who have carried the divine message of spreading knowledge and compassion, and who poured their lives and efforts into empowering others to rise and innovate.

It is both a holiday and a way of thanking those who taught us how to write, read, think, and live a life worthy of humanity.

On this day, we can only salute and appreciate every teacher on the face of the earth, in school or university, in a classroom or tent, in a remote city or village.

To you, who have made a difference in the lives of millions, who have instilled values ​​in souls before letters in notebooks, who have made knowledge a path to dignity and enlightenment.

Happy New Year to you, silent prophets and unknown messengers, who have known nothing but giving.

You are the source of civilization, the spark of renaissance, and you—after Allah—are the ones who deserve it to be said of you:

> Stand up for the teacher and honor him… The teacher is almost a messenger.

On this day, we stand in respect and appreciation for the symbol of true giving—the teacher, the creator of hope and the builder of generations.

But in Sudan, due to war, a cherished pillar of this nation has been affected…

Due to the gross violations of the militia, schools have closed, students have lost their opportunities, and teachers have been displaced between cities in search of safety.

Despite all this, education has remained the heartbeat of reconstruction and the beginning of the path to progress.

There is no reconstruction without knowledge, no peace without awareness, and no future without a teacher who carries the torch in the darkness.

On this day, let us honor every teacher who has not abandoned their mission,

and let us stand together to rebuild what has been destroyed—with lessons of hope and knowledge.
