The Director General of Health Insurance meets with the Governor of the Blue Nile Region

Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daem, briefed Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, Governor of the Blue Nile Region, on the repercussions of his visit to the region, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Government, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, the directors of health insurance in the branches of Blue Nile, White Nile, Gezira, and Sennar, and the Auditor General headed by the Fund.

Dr. Farouk praised the great coordination between the Blue Nile Health Insurance and its partners, stating that the visit aimed to implement the 100-day plan of the Government of Hope. It will focus on the axis of population coverage and its review, ensuring that it is effective, in addition to reviewing and providing health services throughout the region, particularly in delivering primary health services to vulnerable segments in the countryside in the rest of this year, and the focus will be on the returnees from the countries of South Sudan and Ethiopia and the provision of services to them. Improving the services of the second level in hospitals to localize services in the region’s cities and strengthen them in rural hospitals.

He said that the proposal to build a diagnostic complex in Al-Rusayrs will be one of the most important files so that it will be a tangible reality during this year.

The Governor, in turn, stressed that health insurance has played a pivotal role in establishing many health centers and providing services to all segments of society.
