Kabbashi receives the President of the Constitutional Court

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams El Din Kabbashi, was briefed on the legal role played by the Constitutional Court as an institution for achieving justice.

This came during a meeting in his office in Port Sudan with the President of the Constitutional Court, Dr. Wahbi Mohamed Mukhtar. Mukhtar said that the meeting emphasized the importance of the Constitutional Court as a state body and a justice institution, indicating that the rule of law and the establishment of state authority are of paramount importance, especially in these difficult circumstances. He added that the court’s resumption of its duties after a four-year absence is an advanced step towards strengthening legal legislation, its oversight, and the rule of law.
