Ambassador Mohieldin Salem Sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

Ambassador Mohieldin Salem Ahmed Ibrahim was sworn in today as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation before the Head of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan. The oath was attended by Dr. Kamil Idris, Prime Minister, a representative of the Chief of the Judiciary, and the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Dr. Mohamed El-Gali Ali Youssef.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation congratulated the Sudanese people on the great victories achieved by the Armed Forces, other regular forces, and mobilized forces, as they fight the battle of dignity and pride to preserve the sovereignty, unity, STABILITY, and security of Sudan.
He said, “We will continue to lead Sudanese diplomacy, and our message is a message of peace to all who wish to follow the path of peace.”, pointing out that the world and the region are witnessing major changes, he said, “We will change our approach and methods to suit these changes, with understanding and an open mind, until we achieve what fulfills the desires of the Sudanese people.”
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to defend Sudan in regional and international forums, stressing that the conspiracy against Sudan was not the result of this war alone, but has been the subject of conspiracy for years. He noted that Sudan will prevail, no matter how many enemies conspire against it.
The Foreign Minister added, “We are open to everyone except Abiy. Whoever seeks to conspire against our sovereignty and unity will lose. We call on everyone in the region and the world to review their positions, and we will extend our hands to all who wish to share in the good with us.”
