Minister of Justice Praises the Efforts of the Ministry of Interior in Establishing Security

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Derf, discussed with the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa, the required amendments to the constitutional document and the laws related to the Ministry of Interior, the police, and the forces affiliated with the Ministry of Interior. They are working to make amendments that allow the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated forces to carry out their duties effectively.

During the meeting, the Minister of Justice added, “We will seek to include these amendments and submit them to the Council of Ministers and then to the Transitional Legislative Authority,” pointing out that the proposed amendments will contribute to raising the efficiency of the Ministry of Interior and the affiliated forces, enabling them to carry out their tasks effectively.

The Minister of Interior enlightened us about the efforts made in Khartoum State and other states, as well as the policing work related to the Ministry of Interior during the previous period.

He praised the Ministry of Interior in Khartoum State for the deployment of police and the extension of security in the state, as well as the efforts made in other states, stressing the importance of the Ministry of Interior’s support at this stage for the tasks and competencies it performs, which require backing from all concerned parties.

The Minister of Interior said, “We found a very great understanding from the Minister of Justice and a full readiness to study all files and come up with solutions that benefit the country and the citizen.” He stated that there is a large number of inmates in many states, and the Minister understands the issues related to inmates and works to address them.
