Gaber receives FAO resident representative in Sudan

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, met today the resident representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Hanji Yang.
Jaber received an enlightenment about the organization’s activities and plans to contribute to the rehabilitation and reconstruction in Khartoum State and to help the Sudanese develop agricultural fields.
For his part, the resident representative of FAO in Sudan affirmed that Khartoum is one of the most productive states in the field of vegetables and has large numbers of livestock damaged by the war. He announced the organization’s desire to help the Government of Sudan to rebuild the agricultural and animal sector in order to achieve food security in the country.
