O teacher, a ray of light that dispels darkness

Khalaf Allah Alobaid Hussein

The teacher is a ray of light that dispels the darkness of ignorance. He is the fundamental pillar upon which generations are built and the future is built. The teacher’s role is not limited to imparting lessons or academic education, but rather extends beyond that to become a guide, mentor, and educator who instills values and principles in the souls of his students.
The teacher is the one who opens the doors to knowledge, instills in his students a love of learning, research, and discovery, and motivates them to think critically and creatively. He is a good role model in behavior and discipline, from whom students learn morals before knowledge, and patience before success. The poet said: “Teach the young a knowledge by which they may discern the paths of life, and morals before knowledge.” The teacher is a second father, a sincere and loyal friend, and a guide who illuminates the path for others, even if he himself walks in the dark. He devotes his life to the flourishing of his students. He toils while planting beautiful seeds in their minds, then rejoices in the harvest of success and distinction. He is almost the only person who rejoices in the success of his students, just as their parents do.
Because of the importance of the teacher’s role, his status is held in high esteem in all societies.
The poet Ahmed Shawqi said:
“Stand up for the teacher and honor him. The teacher is almost a messenger.” This is due to the noble message he carries, similar to that of the prophets and messengers in guiding minds and hearts.
Despite facing great challenges, including limited resources, the pressure of curricula, and the many burdens, the teacher remains steadfast, fulfilling his mission with sincerity and dedication, because he believes that building the human being is the greatest project he can offer to society.
Dear Readers:
This is a call to honor and respect the teacher, and this is a duty of every student and all of society. He is the cornerstone of the renaissance of nations, and without him, it is impossible to build civilizations or preserve values.
To the teachers of my country at all educational levels, we send you our sincere greetings, along with our deepest thanks, gratitude, and appreciation.
May God have mercy on those who have passed away and grant them forgiveness and mercy. May God have mercy on them and grant them a place in Paradise. May God grant those of you who remain good health and wellness. May God protect you and protect Sudan and its noble and generous people.
