93% of North Kordofan citizens covered by health insurance

The coverage rate of the citizens of North Kordofan State with health insurance has reached 93% until the first half of this year, 2025. The performance report for the first half of the current year, 2025, issued by the branch of the National Health Insurance Fund in North Kordofan State, showed the restoration of insurance services in 54 facilities, of which 33 were direct facilities (61%) compared to 19 indirect facilities (35%). The issued insurance cards amounted to 2,488,193 cards, representing 95% of the total subscribers.

The performance report for the first half of the current year 2025 indicated that the number of visitors to health insurance outlets reached 136,066 hesitants, adding that the number of hesitants from other states reached 5,410 hesitants, in addition to performing 2,939 surgeries.

The report stated that the frequency of the pharmaceutical service reached 128,035 patients compared to 202,957 who used the laboratory services. The report unveiled the restoration of the North Kordofan State branch to the networking in the localities of Al-Rahad, Abu Dakna, and Um Rawaba. The report alerted to the approval and distribution of the Zakat Bureau’s sponsorship to 9,500 families according to the localities.
