At the launching of the major campaign to control disease vectors in Khartoum State

The major campaign to combat disease vectors was launched at the General Secretariat of the Government of Khartoum State for the localities of Khartoum State under the slogan “Continuous Control for Stable Health,” under the patronage of the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, and the honoring of Lieutenant General Bahri, Engineer Advisor Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, a member of the Sovereignty Council, and in the presence of the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza.

Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber expressed his pride in the White Army and his happiness with the inauguration, pointing out that this step inspires safety for citizens, praising the mobile laboratories of the National Public Lab Health and the importance of providing medical services under the current circumstances. He stressed that the whole of Sudan participated in the battle of dignity, praised the Sudanese people, and thanked all partners, calling on citizens to return and considering that the time has come to act.

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health explained that the campaign is one of the main pillars of preparing for the return. It extends for three months and includes seven localities, twenty-four administrative units, and one thousand nine hundred and eighty neighborhoods, with the participation of two thousand five hundred cadres and workers.

He pointed out that the campaign is fully supported by the Federal Ministry of Finance and includes the provision of pesticides, basic aids, inputs, and operations, in addition to the inauguration of the laboratory vehicles of the Asnak laboratory, with the support of the World Health Organization and IGAD, stressing that the campaign will be launched from Khartoum and will include other states.

The Governor of Khartoum State greeted the workers participating in the campaign and thanked the Federal and State Ministries of Health for their efforts during the previous period, pointing out that the current stage is one of reconstruction.
