Launch of BADEA Grant to Support Health

The handover of 41 fully equipped ambulances was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, as part of the fourth phase of the National Ambulance Project.
The delivery was funded by a grant from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) to the Ministry of Health, under the supervision and follow-up of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. This is part of its efforts to mobilize resources for reconstruction and support of essential service sectors.
The representative of the Ministry of Finance affirmed its commitment to providing financial resources to rebuild the health sector destroyed by the war, noting that the Ministry of Health had received 83 ambulances during the previous period. He emphasized the ministry’s continued support for the health sector, anticipating the arrival of a number of MRI and CT scan machines in the coming period, with grants from Arab financing institutions.
