Minister of Justice: China supports Sudan in international and regional forums

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Derf, met with the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires in Sudan, Zhang Xiang and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan and the President of International Agreements.
The Minister said that the meeting was fruitful and dealt with the agreement establishing the International Mediation Organization, which was signed by Sudan, and explained that this agreement has been studied by the International Agreements Department at the Ministry of Justice, and added, “We will seek to ratify this agreement as soon as possible.”
He pointed out that Sudan is one of the first countries to sign this agreement, and by ratifying it, it will become one of the founding countries of the organization, and added that “as it is known, the State of China is a strategic partner of Sudan in various aspect and one of its supporters in international forums.” It has been completed and will be deposited tomorrow with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs to be placed before the Prime Minister to be deposited with the legislative authority for approval.
For his part, the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires explained that the meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, especially with regard to coordination and cooperation in the judicial field
He said that the meeting discussed the process of accelerating the ratification of the agreement on the establishment of the International Mediation Organization, adding that “we hope that the ratification will be completed as soon as possible to contribute to the launch of the organization as soon as possible.”
