Al-Burhan reviews overall situation in West Kordofan State

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, reviewed the overall situation in West Kordofan State and the state government’s efforts to provide assistance to citizens affected by the war.
This came during a meeting in his office today with the state governor, Major General Eng. Mohamed Adam Gaid.
Gaid said that the meeting addressed the situation in West Kordofan State due to the war waged by the Al-Dagalo terrorist militia against the state and its institutions, pointing to the severe damage inflicted on government institutions and infrastructure projects.
He indicated that the state’s citizens have become displaced within and outside West Kordofan State due to the targeting they have been subjected to by the rebel militia.
The governor of West Kordofan said that the humanitarian interventions in the state were initiated by the Head of the Sovereignty Council and had helped alleviate the suffering of the people of West Kordofan.
He affirmed the state government’s readiness to cooperate with all parties to restore security and stability in West Kordofan and provide services to citizens.
